Arqa Foundation is an independent cultural foundation based in Kazakhstan, established to support the development, production, and circulation of contemporary art, architecture, and cultural research.

The Foundation works to strengthen the conditions in which artists, architects, curators, researchers, and cultural institutions can develop ambitious and critically engaged work. Through grants, commissions, exhibitions, research initiatives, publications, and partnerships, ARQA supports projects at different stages of their development, from early research and experimentation to public presentation and international exchange.

Rooted in Kazakhstan while maintaining an outward-looking perspective, Arqa seeks to create stronger connections between local cultural practice and wider regional and international conversations.

Rather than operating through a permanent exhibition space, Arqa works as a flexible platform, collaborating with artists and institutions across different sites and contexts. Its aim is to provide meaningful, sustained support for cultural production and to contribute to a more resilient, connected, and intellectually ambitious cultural ecosystem in Kazakhstan.
